The fine line between feeling good and feeling bad.

Feel Good Inc. by Gorillaz.

Take the first step into a spout of middle-aged man laughter and then into a painfully groovy guitar line. There is definitely something timeless about this piece.

The vivacious bass line, diverse vocals, and colorful imagery synthesize into a composition that is certainly one of a kind. The lyrics touch upon the sacrifices people make in life in order to reach a point where they "feel good," and questions the real value in these things, encouraging the realization that there is more reward in making others feel good with love than ourselves with harmful pleasures like addiction or bad habits.

The telephone-like vocals appreciate the time of answering machines, also recognized in the words:

All I wanna hear is the message beep

If there was a shortage of words in the world, and I had to choose two to describe this song...

Utter groove.

If you click on the album cover below, you can listen or re-listen to "Feel Good Inc." by Gorillaz on YouTube. Dip your feet into "She's My Collar (feat. Kali Uchis) by them as well! Same vibe. Let me know thoughts, emotions, ideas, sparks, creations, or memories that come up while the instruments hum into your ears.

Warm regards,
Nai
